About Zaypay

Zaypay International B.V. was Founded in 2006 by the Dutch company Stash Ventures B.V. owned by Adriaan Mol.

Adriaan set Bastiaan Peters (now CTO at Zaypay) a clear but ambitious goal: one API for worldwide phone and SMS/text micropayments that anyone could use without spending any out-of-pocket costs. No contracts, no fine print, no nonsense. But most of all: no more connecting to local providers for every region, but just to one Zaypay API.

Now no one said it would be easy to dream up one system that could connect to dozens of wildly differing supplier APIs. Let alone somehow merging them to one interface that merchants needed to be able to connect to in a self-service fashion... Still, Zaypay launched and in the next 5 years Zaypay grew into a profitable business, providing payment services to a large number of companies key to the worlds online gaming and payment industry.

In August of 2011, Zaypay was acquired by Mobile Interactive Group (MIG), Europe’s largest mobile billing and payments business. Following the acquisition, Zaypay is now able to continue to broaden its technology and services offering across the mobile payments value chain and to fast track the reach of its services globally.
