Hey Guys,

A while back i heard you guys were planning on or at least trying to extend you’re service to USA before the beginning of Q4.

I just want to know how that worked out and if we still might see USA in Q4 or and estimate on when you expect to launch in the states.

On top of that, can we expect more support from the Americas, I saw some expansion in Europe but a I have a big user base from North and South America that complains to me everyday about the service like I’m the one who decides ;), but I would love to have something to tell them.

Zaypay is by far the best SMS server no doubt, but can anyone recommend a way to reach my South American and American base who don’t have paypal?

I think I can give you some good news. We’re launching SMS payments in North America somewhere in the end of next week. We’re planning to increase our coverage all the time, also by adding more different payment methods (like creditcard for example). South America is on our list also, but I can’t tell you anything about this at the moment.

Thanks for a great news. I have one question, which is applicable to different countries as well. Which mobile operators are supported ? Is the Premium SMS used Mobile Originated or Mobile Terminated ? If the latter is the case, is there any way how to customize the text of the message ? Thanks for your answer.

Hi Lahoda,

We always try to support all operators major operators. For USA sms we currently support Alltel, at&t, Boost, CellularOne, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Verzion Text.

We don’t differentiate between MO and MT because we take care of things like that for you. Our API works for a number of payment-methods in a uniform way, we would have to give that up if we would go into somuch detail here.

An MT-customization feature is tricky, because indeed some constructions are MO-only, some require messages to include certain phrases for them to be legaly acceptable, and there is localization, which you will get for free when our localization is done.

Best regards,

Bastiaan

Bastiaan, thanks for the reply. It is really helpful to know what carriers are supported in which country (and to some extent, some other details such if the service is MO or MT), although the payment service is provided by You, the customers often seek help at the website providing the content and thus any additional information is a big help. Perhaps you can create a PDF document that will give some details to the interested parties (I believe I am not alone) and keep the basic pricing overview as it is now ?

Another question concerning the US market : any chance to see another pricing level(s) (above the maximum of $1 as it is now) ?

Thanks.

BR,

Pavel

Hi Pavel,

That’s a good idea. We’d however rather include this at application level, so that the pricing overview will show all of this information on demand. For now the max amount in US is indeed $1. We’ll be adding $2.99 later on, however this is not supported by T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Verizon Text. So this is probably best added when the pricing overview can display these shortcomings for that tariff.

Thanks for your useful feedback.

Best regards,

Bastiaan
